President's Post October 2023

This is my last IMSCOGS President post, and I'm delighted to announce that Menno Schoonheim (Amsterdam, Netherlands) has been elected president of our society for the next 3 years. Congratulations to Menno and best wishes for IMSCOGS.

From October 11 to 13, the joint ECTRIMS/ACTRIMS meeting takes place in Milan. 2 sessions are devoted to cognition in multiple sclerosis. Wednesday 11th from 2:30 to 4:00 pm, scientific session 4, “Effects of MS on cognition and beyond”, will be co-chaired by Ralph Benedict (Buffalo, NY, USA), IMSCOGS past-president, and myself.

John DeLuca (West-Orange, NJ, USA) and Anthony Feinstein (Toronto, Canada) will respectively present lectures on cognitive and psychiatric disorders related to multiple sclerosis. 4 oral presentations will follow.

On Friday 13th, from 12:00 to 13:00, an educational session organized by IMSCOGS will focus on "New trends for treating cognitive impairment in MS", with the participation of Iris K Penner (Bern, Switzerland), John DeLuca and Sarah Morrow (Calgary, Canada).

I wish you a fruitful meeting.
